Skiing: Loon Mountain
Loon Mountain
Loon Mountain is New England’s most accessible big mountain resort. Located just 8 miles from Woodwards Resort (two hours from Boston), Loon offers 61 trails and 2,100 vertical feet of unparalleled skiing and riding.
Loon’s three peaks offer the kind of varied terrain and possibilities; Loon has something for everyone, whether you’re looking to ski the steeps or take your first snowboard lesson.
The Loon Mountain Adventure Center is where you’ll find a mountain of off-slope activities during the winter:
Snowshoeing & Cross-Country Skiing
Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are great ways to explore Loon’s variety of cross-country trails, and get some fresh air and exercise. Guided tours, rental equipment and instructions are available at the Adventure Center.
